Approximately four hours south of The Bureau Orlando, the Skunk Ape Research Headquarters is doing its own investigative work deep inside The Big Cypress Nation Preserve. Dave Shealy, founder of the research organization, claims to have seen the creature multiple times throughout his life. The Smithsonian Magazine has published a video Shealy shot on July 8, 2000 that appears to show a mysterious creature traipsing through the Florida brush.
